The best location for you
The first step for a great trip is picking the right place to stay. The good news is that Lecce has a hotel for every taste and budget. The city offers a great mix of accommodation options, whether you’re looking for the charm of a boutique hotel or something more practical, like a comfortable but budget-friendly B&B.
The best location for getting a real taste of the city and its rich history is definitely the Centro Storico, Lecce’s historic heart, where the pulse of the city’s history and culture beats the strongest.

However, if you’re planning – as you should – to drive around to explore the stunning Puglian coast or nearby charming towns, consider staying just outside the historic center. This could be a lot more convenient, particularly when it comes to parking and getting around, something to keep in mind, especially during the busy summer months.
For a quick overview of where these hotels are, check out this map. You’ll see that most of my top picks are located right within the historic walls of the old town, perfect for experiencing the best of Lecce.

Luxury Hotels
Lecce’s luxury hotels are experiences in themselves. A unique blend of beautifully restored historic buildings with both contemporary and antique decorations. These hotels provide high-end amenities, exquisite dining experiences, and impeccable service.
So, if you’re in the mood for some serious pampering, these hotels in Lecce are definitely the way to go!
Palazzo Maresgallo Suites & SPA
Palazzo Maresgallo is my kind of place, where history and luxury meet in style! Tucked away in the historical center, each suite in this stylish 16th-century palace is perfect for anyone looking for a bit of peace with a touch of class.
The staff there is praised for knowing how to make you feel special, with service that’s nothing short of stellar and an atmosphere that’s welcoming through and through. While the lack of on-site parking could be a challenge for those with cars, its central location is ideal for wandering around Lecce.

The aristocratic salotto, the dreamy garden with a pool, the charming rooftop with breathtaking city views, and the relaxing SPA are perfect spots to unwind.
For the adventurous souls, at an extra cost, the hotel offers cooking classes, cultural tours, and more, right in the heart of the action – from buzzing bars to iconic squares. Just the way I love exploring Lecce!
- Charming rooftop with a view of the Roman Theater, the Cathedral, and its bell tower
- Outdoor swimming pool in a dreamy secret garden
- Relaxing fitness center and a SPA within 16th-century vaults

La Fiermontina Luxury Home
La Fiermontina Luxury Home is great for art enthusiasts and couples looking for that romantic escape. The hotel, set in an authentic 17th-century Masseria, is a tribute to the arts, with stunning paintings, sculptures, and luxury furniture, all inspired by the talented Puglian artist Antonia Fiermonte, who also happens to be the owners’ grandmother.
The inviting outdoor pool is a lifesaver during the hot apuglian days. The breakfast, often served in the fantastic garden or on the panoramic terrace, is an absolute treat, and there is also Zéphyr, a convenient gourmet restaurant on-site. Guests are always impressed by the high-quality, personalized service.
The hotel offers a range of activities like walking tours, bike hire, boat tours, cooking classes, wine and olive oil tastings, and winery visits, though they come with an extra charge.
Being near the city walls, the location is super convenient for easy access in and out of the city by car, and it’s still within walking distance from Lecce’s main attractions. And let’s not forget – on-site free private parking is invaluable in a city with a challenging parking situation like Lecce, trust me! 😉

The hotel’s decor, enriched with exquisite artwork, adds an extra layer of appeal.
Unlike its sister property, which is nestled in lush greenery, La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso holds a prime location in the historical center, next to the Basilica di Santa Croce. This setting is perfect for guests eager to dive into the vibrant city life.

Housed in a classy 18th-century palace, the hotel features a rooftop terrace with a spectacular cityscape view, complemented by a refreshing outdoor swimming pool. Guests can savor a scrumptious breakfast served in the picturesque garden.
They’ve also earned a spot on the MICHELIN One Key 2024 list, which recognizes hotels that go above and beyond for their guests.

The Patria Palace, an 18th-century aristocratic mansion, stands out by its distinct atmosphere, where classic and modern elements harmoniously coexist. Its unique location, just a few steps from the Basilica di Santa Croce, and sophisticated ambiance make this extraordinary place very popular among travelers. It is ideal for both couples and families alike.
Guests can enjoy exceptional dining experiences at Atenze, the hotel’s gourmet restaurant, or relish summer evenings at Sira, the unmissable panoramic rooftop terrace offering magnificent views of the Basilica – I adore it! The outside breakfast is exceptional, and a live pianist may even serenade you. 🎶

Guests appreciate the friendly and professional staff. Also, various exciting tours and experiences can be booked separately, including coastal adventures, cultural explorations, culinary journeys showcasing Salento flavors, and sports and nature activities.

This hotel is an exciting fit for those who want to experience staying in a historic property. However, please note that the hotel is located outside the historic center, and no parking is available at the property, which can create logistical challenges.
